Writing essays doesn't need to be hard!

One of the biggest issues I support students on is writing. Unfortunately it’s not only grammar that always gets students, but being able to organize content in a way that will convey the message they are trying to get across. Sometimes even when making their personal notes their writing is so confusing that it makes studying even harder!

The power of organization

I’m a great believer in the power of organization, and organizing your ideas is a great part of it. I try to teach students how to, for example, read an exam question and divide it into smaller sub-topics. That way you are left with a specific amount of concepts to work on, and then you have to think in what order would they make more sense? If one is derived from another, use them in the right order, otherwise you will be making the reader have to go back and forth in the text to understand the connections.

Always try to make connections that are natural, like a family: start with the grandparents, then the parents, and only then the children.
